Erik is originally from Lynchburg, Va and relocated to Richmond following Physical Therapy school. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 2013 where he majored in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise with a minor in Psychology. He then returned to Lynchburg to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Lynchburg College in 2016. Since becoming a Physical Therapist, Erik has sought additional learning opportunities including completing an Orthopedic Residency program to improve his clinical skills when treating patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
Erik has experience in orthopedic care in multiple settings. He has worked in occupational health, with athletes, provided post-surgical care, and cared for people with chronic injuries. Erik stays active within the profession, performing reviews and editing journal articles in topics including patient education and neurologic examination. He is a certified clinical instructor and loves to have students in clinic to keep him current and share knowledge of the profession.
In his free time he likes to walk his dog, Ranger, ride and repair bicycles, and participate in various recreational sports and trivia leagues around town. He continues to be an avid fan of Virginia Tech Athletics and trys to make a few trips back to Blacksburg each year.
